We collect information you give us directly — your name, email address, phone number and similar details — when you submit an enquiry, enrol in a bootcamp or course, subscribe to our newsletter, or place an order through the TechStar Store. We also collect basic technical information automatically, such as your browser type and the pages you visit, which helps us understand how the site is used.

2. How we use your information

• To process an enrolment, respond to an enquiry, or fulfil a Store order.
• To send programme updates, cohort scheduling information, or order and shipping confirmations.
• To send our newsletter, only to those who have subscribed, with an unsubscribe option on every email.
• To improve our website, programmes and services based on how they are actually used.

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. It is shared only where necessary to deliver what you have asked for — for example, with a payment processor to complete a purchase, or with a trainer to run the cohort you have enrolled in — and with any authority where we are required to by Tanzanian law.

4. Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies and similar local storage to keep the site working correctly — remembering a search, keeping a form's state — rather than for advertising or third-party tracking. You can control or clear these through your browser's own settings at any time.

5. Data retention

We keep enrolment and order records for as long as needed to meet our own administrative and legal obligations, and newsletter contact details for as long as you remain subscribed. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we are required to keep for legal or financial reasons.

6. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children's information

Many of our bootcamps are designed for younger learners. Where a participant is a minor, enrolment information is provided and managed by a parent or guardian, and we handle that information with the same care as any other participant's.
